Water-cooled i.e. granulated blast furnace slag for the building industry as raw material for cement production.
In this industry, carbon dioxide emissions are significantly reduced when granulated blast furnace slag is used to replace the clinker. The hydraulic properties are started due to the effect of the calcium hydroxide produced by reaction of water and cement, and transported through the blast furnace slag to develop strength, almost like a cement clinker. The use of granulated blast furnace can improve the properties of the cement. In the manufacture of cement, the granulated blast furnace is used to compress the concrete's pore structure and thus lower the penetration of aggressive substances into the concrete.
